Rural Agency, originally known as Rural Agentur, was established in 2018 in response to the United Nations Human Rights Council passing a resolution on the UN Declaration for the Rights of Peasants and Other People Working in Rural Areas.

This resolution highlights the growing conversations surrounding rural environments. Rural areas face a complex future where many of today's crises must be addressed and resolved.

We believe that innovative design approaches are essential for envisioning the future of rurality. Our work focuses on rural planning and architectural design, tackling challenges related to land use, housing, community, infrastructure, and environmental protection.

Together with our clients, we are shaping the future of rurality!

Rural Agency operates from a biodynamic farm, Østagergård, located the Danish village of Jystrup. Our farm office is always to visitors.
