About Rural Agency

Rural Agency is a spatial strategy studio dedicated to reimagining rural futures through architecture, design, and long-term thinking. Our work combines deep contextual insight with ecological and social care — treating design not as a fixed object, but as an evolving process rooted in place, people, and time.

We approach each project as an opportunity to co-develop rural environments in dialogue with local communities and landscapes. Whether working through architecture, planning, or participatory methods, we see design as a way to seed regenerative, adaptive systems that can grow beyond our involvement.

Alongside our studio practice, we run Rural Agency Impact — a philanthropic initiative where we reinvest 10% of our revenue into micro grants, mentoring, and collaborative projects that support local changemakers and community-driven development in rural areas.

​

Based in rural Denmark, we work across scales and formats — from fieldwork to frameworks, maps to masterplans — with a commitment to creating meaningful, situated change in underrepresented geographies.
